About this event
Our workshop will be led by Ian Davlin, a professional guitar repair technician since 1993 who now leads The Looth Group. In order to participate in this workshop, you will need:
- to purchase a StewMac tenor ukelele kit (see the link below for a discount)
- to sign a talent release form (if under 18, parent must sign)
- to sign a liability limitation waiver
- to be a member of Rochester Woodworkers Society (if you're not a member you'll become one at no extra charge after you sign up for the workshop)
- to bring and wear safety glasses and closed-toe shoes
- to bring your own lunch and a few simple items.
You will buy your StewMac tenor ukulele kit (without the cutout) in your choice of mahogany, walnut or spruce top and be led through the complete assembly in two busy days. You can apply a finish (we suggest wipe-on poly) at home. You can get a $25 discount by clicking here StewMac Discount
Please order ASAP (or at least by April 8) to be sure you have it in time.
Your $50 registration includes most of the tools you will need for a successful build plus expert hands-on assistance. (And if you aren't a member of RWS, we'll make you one!) This event is open to anyone 13 to 99 (13-15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian).
