John Jordan is a woodturner from Cane Ridge (Nashville), Tennessee. Known primarily for his textured and carved hollow vessels, John has been featured in nearly every major turning exhibition the past twenty years.
RWS members are welcome to attend John Jordan’s presentation on Thursday, November 15, 2018 hosted by the Finger Lakes Woodturners Association. Their meeting starts at 6PM and the location is at Isaac Heating & Air Conditioning Training Center, 50 Holleder Pkwy, Rochester, NY.
In his Friday evening presentation, John Jordan will talk about his work and experiences as turner. The meeting will begin at 7:45 p.m. on Friday, November 16 in 135 Basil Hall on the campus of St. John Fisher College. FLWA members are welcome to attend this session.
We have two workshops scheduled with John Jordan. The first one will be a demo workshop on Saturday November 17, 2018; and on Sunday November 18, there will be a hands-on workshop where John will teach students how to turn one of his signature hollow forms or student can bring a pre-turned piece and learn carving techniques instead..

Prior to the Friday meeting, we will hold a silent auction where you can sell items that are no longer needed. Please fill out the Silent Auction Form with the minimum price and incremental bid amount and bring it with your items on Friday, one form per item. The silent auction will begin at 7 p.m. (Note: 10% sellers donation to RWS is appreciated).
