In his Friday evening talk, John will discuss his “wavy” design style of turning. The meeting will begin at 7:45 p.m. on Friday, March 17 in 135 Basil Hall on the campus of St. John Fisher College.
We have two workshops scheduled with John Beaver. The first one will be a demo workshop on Saturday March 18, where John will show how he makes his wave bangles and bowls by turning an object, cutting it apart on a bandsaw and then adding other woods before reassembling it; and on Sunday March 19, there will be a hands-on workshop where John will help you make a version of his wave bowl.
Both workshops will be help at Isaac Heating, 50 Holleder Pkwy, Rochester, NY 14615
John Beaver is being hosted jointly by Rochester Woodworkers Society and Finger Lakes Wood Turners. Examples of John’s work can be seen at: www.johnbeaver.net
