Pre-Meeting Displays

NOTICE: To avoid propagating spam, we have started to depict e-mail addresses with an image for the '@' symbol. Make certain you substitute this when you copy an address into your e-mail program.

 

Please bring your work to the pre-meeting! This has always been one of the highlights of the RWS: sharing work and ideas with other members.

 

All woodwork is welcome -- completed work, expert workmanship, novice projects, work in-progress, work needing advice, woodworking jigs, machine fixtures, staining and finishing examples.

 

As we have done in the past, folks who bring in work for display will have their name dropped into a hat for a drawing for a $50 gift certificate to the Rockler's Store on Transit Boulevard, in Amherst, near Buffalo. (We thank Ed Jolls, store manager, for his continued support!)

 

If you are bringing in work, contact Mike Seager (mtg-trrochesterwoodworkers.org). Let him know of your space requirements. Try to have display items at the College by about 6:45 PM – we will continue with the usual time of 7:00 – 8:00 for the pre-meeting followed by the guest speaker.

Directions to St. John Fisher College

St. John Fisher College is located at 3690 East Avenue in Pittsford, where East Avenue meets Fairport Road. The auditorium for RWS meetings is located in Basil Hall, a campus classroom building.

You may access the campus either from the Main Entrance (the traffic light at East and Fairport Roads) or at the East Entrance. If you enter at the main entrance you will find a large parking lot to the left, shortly after you enter from East Avenue. RWS members may use this lot.

 

You can also enter the campus at the east entrance, on Fairport Road. If you use the Fairport Road entrance follow the driveway for a few hundred feet until it curves to the left and climbs a hill. The parking lot will be to your right.
