Emilie Rigby is a green woodworker and author who also reproduces antique tin Christmas ornaments. She lives in a little cabin on a lake in Upstate NY. Her main goal is to make craft more accessible and has been known to be a great instigator in getting someone into a new hobby. She has been carving for 12 years and teaching handcraft for just as long. Her classes are a curated mix of nerdy deep dives, lighthearted forays into new skills, and truly terrible puns. The main focuses of her work are wooden spoons with highly decorated handles as well as "vegan taxidermy" wall sculptures (think skull mounts completely carved out of wood). Her work can be found on her website emilierigby.com as well as her Instagram @rigby_handcraft. Emilie will be hosting a demonstration of how she does her carving as well as special tips and techniques.
