Greg Rossel Workshop

Getting setup for the Greg Rossel workshop held at the Woodcraft Store

Greg teaches often so he is quite at ease with a crowd of students
He starts right off with explaining some of the quirks of the boat building lingo

Greg explains the correct techniques for stem construction
Greg's technique for insuring the correct angle, transfering up to the rabbet line
Cutting the demo piece and showing how it yields the proper fit

Greg grinds flats on the sides of his carriage bolts used in the stem
For planing planks, Greg has an old wooden plane with a curved sole
A matching set of inside and outside curves in cardboard is all that's needed to measure radii
With four common sizes, one on each edge, Greg can easily "measure" the radius
