By request, Mitch breaks out the repair kit stuff
The various color melt sticks
Preping the melt stick tools
One big screw driver scratch, deep and partly cross grain
Step one, finding the best base color match
Step two, a bubble-less fill job
Slightly more than necessary in place
Removing the excess to get to level
Final smoothing to eliminate the need to sand
Looks good already
Color matching for the addition of grain painting
Adding the grain marks, once the colors have been blended
Pretty good color matchings, now the finish
Spot repair and blending of the finish
Some adjustment for a uniform sheen
Voila, where was the damage?
Better than new
